ALRISE Biosystems GmbH develops controlled release formulations for protein, peptide and small molecule drugs. Services and own products are based on Alrise’s patented parenteral drug delivery technology ImSus® for the encapsulation of active pharmaceutical ingredients in biodegradable polymeric nano or micro particles.
Alrise offers its services to originators and generics companies with the objective of developing new products based on controlled release formulations. ImSus® technology can be utilized for the formulation of new drugs as well as for the lifecycle management (LCM) of those agents, which are or will come off patent protection and would receive an added value through the application of this technology. In addition, Alrise has a long-term perspective for building its own product pipeline based on off-patent drugs.

The company develops higher-valued formulations of drugs that are coming / have come off patent protection.
Services:
In accordance with its partners’ target product profiles, the company develops parenteral controlled-release formulations for protein, peptide and small molecule drugs. Depot formulations have been developed for applications ranging from 10 days to 6 months. A new service for the oral delivery of peptide drugs is underway.
